Ashleigh Hauer - Board Member at Large

My name is Ashleigh, and I am interested in the Young Professionals Chair on the Southern Nevada SHRM board. A bit about me, I am newer to Las Vegas and I have been looking for a community to call home for myself and other young HR professionals I am friends with and interact with on a daily basis as an Employee Benefits consultant. The common theme I see in Vegas is young professionals, who have recently moved here and are also looking for a home/community to bounce ideas off of, compare work strategies, and have some fun.

I believe the SNSHRM can offer this to all the HR professionals moving to Vegas and looking for a community. As the Young Professionals Chair I will develop a social group of like minded individuals who have social outings once a month and attend the SHRM events together as a group to promote SHRM membership. Recruiting for members will not be difficult as it is my job to interact with HR professionals every day. Also, I am friends with the Young Professionals Chair in Northern Nevada and will be able to rely on him for some guidance as I know they have been successful there and I have personally attended some of their events.
