    Accelerate Change – Because Change is Already Hard Enough.

    Join us for an evening chapter meeting as Christoph Merill presents on change management.     We are working in the most challenging times.  Business strategies are constantly changing.  We need to have the skills to implement new strategies quickly or risk being left behind.  The ability to implement new strategies quickly and appropriately requires: A) A new way of doing things.  Change is inevitable.  John F. Kennedy said, “Those who live in the past and not the present are sure to miss the future.”  B) A different application of your talent and energy.  Being self-aware will become increasingly imperative as the world continues to change at an accelerated rate.  By being self-aware you can acknowledge both your strengths and your weaknesses.  C) Behaving as an everyday leader.  Lead when you don’t have a title.  Leaders exist at every level within your organization. Finding and empowering those everyday leaders is critical to the success of implementing change.

    People change when they see a truth that influences theirfeelings.  It creates a vivid picture of the opportunities ahead beyond the peak and valley of change that connects to both the head and the heart.  Employees today need this connection to remain focused and stay relevant in a constantly changing business environment.  The 7 Accelerators of Change are:  1) Establish Need, 2) Early Adopters, 3) Craft a Vision, 4) Communicate, 5) Empower Action, 6) Short-term wins, 7) Reinforce.  To Accelerate Change you must understand how interrelated the 7 Accelerators of Change are.  More importantly is how to get everyone in your organization committed to the same goal, from the top of the organization to the bottom.  Once this is done, you will have lit a fire beneath your organization.
