Bring your unwrapped Toys for Tots
Please join us in making the holidays brighter for some very special children this year. We are asking all attendees to bring a NEW, UNWRAPPED toy to the December meeting for our annual "Toys for Tots" drive.
In addition to our "Toys for Tots" Toy drive, we will hold a SHRM Foundation Special Event during this month’s meeting! Win cash AND support the scholarships, research and academic grants provided by the SHRM Foundation! SNHRA will be conducting a 50-50 raffle...Half of the money raised goes to support SHRM Foundation and half is the PRIZE! Bring some cash along with you to our next meeting. Board members will be selling tickets before the meeting.
Legal Panel Discussion
December's super popular breakfast meeting presents an exciting legal panel to discuss current HR Legal Topics and Employment Law.
Our panel will be comprised of some of the top lawyers in southern Nevada, moderated by Anthony Golden.
Anthony Golden is an associate in the Las Vegas office of Fisher & Phillips. His practice focuses on representing private and public employers in labor and employment matters, including employment-related litigation under Title VII, the ADEA, the ADA, and Section 1983. He also advises employers on preventive measures and has experience in the development and defense of employment contracts and non-compete agreements.
Anthony has substantial trial court experience, representing clients in federal and state court as well as before various administrative agencies. He also has extensive appellate experience and has assisted clients in successfully settling disputes before litigation. Anthony was selected for inclusion in 2009 Mountain States Super Lawyers as a "rising star."
In 2011 and 2012 he was listed as one of the Top 150 Attorneys in Southern Nevada by Nevada Business Magazine's Legal Elite. He is "AV" Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Prior to joining Fisher & Phillips, he served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Nancy A. Becker of the Supreme Court of Nevada.
